Best Practices Human Resources Management (HRM) Consultation and Development (HRD) Services

Who is MacB?

MacB Group was formed in 1999 by Mark Alexander as a corporate structure for his growing human resources management (HRM) consulting and management development (HRD) business.
In addition to Mark Alexander, MacB provides the services of other HRM consultants who, over the years, have contributed their expertise to MacB's efforts. Each of these individuals has an extensive background in managing, teaching and consulting in the area of human resources management. You can review a detailed description of each of the consulting programs offered by MacB through the menu at the left.

How does MacB work?

Perhaps the best way to describe how MacB works is through the following case examples:

C1

HRM Consulting Services

A large East Coast fish processing company undertakes a strategic planning and formulation process and identified a need to revise its human resources programs for its salaried workforce. Through a series of workshops and development sessions, four priority areas are identified: Performance management, compensation, management and supervisory development and succession and career planning. Over a period of two years, programs in each of these areas are designed and implemented with the help of Mark Alexander and associate Carl Johnston.

C2

HRM Consulting Services

In the wake of government salary increase restrictions being lifted, a large Ontario chronic care hospital needs an easily implemented salary compensation program for its non-unionized workforce. Working with the senior management team and using the components of the MacB program, Mark Alexander is able to assist in the implementation of an internal and external equity based compensation program within a period of less than nine months.

C3

HR Development Services

The senior management team of one of Canada's largest beverage ingredient manufacturers wants to improve its operating practices and understanding of how to work together more effectively. Working with associate Mark Young, Mark Alexander designs and leads a three-day wilderness "challenge" with the group in Northern Ontario.

C4

HR Development Services

A national association of transportation companies wants to completely revise the front line leadership training program it offers to its members and contracts with MacB Group to provide design and delivery services for this one-week program.
